Terms of service.
These terms describe the rules for using Model.sale accounts, API keys, the Playground, dashboard and prepaid wallet. By creating an account or sending a request, you agree to use the service lawfully and keep your credentials secure.
1. The service
Model.sale provides prepaid access to the models and protocols shown in the public catalog, together with API keys, usage records, a wallet and developer tools. The catalog, prices, capabilities, limits and availability may change as routes are validated or retired.
A model marked unavailable cannot receive customer traffic. We do not silently substitute a different model when the requested model fails or becomes unavailable.
2. Accounts and identity
- Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in methods current.
- You must be old enough and legally permitted to use the service in your location.
- One person or organization is responsible for activity performed through its account.
- Do not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade an enforcement action or share access in a way that defeats limits and abuse controls.
- Identity linking is available only from an authenticated session and cannot be used to take over another account.
Tell support promptly if you lose access, see an unfamiliar session or suspect that account information is wrong.
3. API keys and security
API keys are credentials for your account. The full secret is shown once; store it in a secret manager or protected environment variable. Use separate keys for separate applications, apply the narrowest limits you need and revoke a key immediately if it is exposed.
Do not put a key in a URL, browser bundle, installer argument, public repository, issue, screenshot or analytics event. You may not sell, share or sublicense a key or access to the service without written permission. Your clients must not conceal their actual use from Model.sale controls.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service to build lawful software and evaluate models. You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and the applicable laws, regulations and third-party terms.
You may not use Model.sale for fraud, credential theft, malware, destructive automation, harassment, unlawful surveillance, exploitation of minors, spam, service disruption, payment abuse, attacks on the gateway or attempts to bypass account, rate, concurrency or spend controls.
Do not send content that you are not authorized to process. You are responsible for reviewing model output before relying on it in a consequential decision.
5. Prepaid balance and billing
Deposits add prepaid funds to your wallet after the payment provider confirms the invoice. The minimum deposit is shown at checkout. A pending, expired, failed or refunded invoice does not create spendable balance.
Before dispatch, Model.sale temporarily reserves an estimate against the wallet. After terminal usage is received, one idempotent settlement records the exact measured charge under the price version admitted for that request and releases the unused reservation. The reservation floor is not a final fee.
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Payment or usage is awaiting verification; funds are not treated as final until reconciliation. |
| Paid | The provider status was verified and the corresponding ledger credit was posted once. |
| Insufficient balance | The request is rejected before dispatch; no inference charge is created. |
| Billing pending | Terminal usage was not available yet; reconciliation may update the final record. |
Deposits are not a subscription or a promise of a fixed amount of future capacity. Refund requests, payment mistakes and disputed transactions are reviewed by support and handled subject to applicable law, provider rules and fraud checks.
6. Limits and fair use
Account and key limits may include requests per minute, tokens per minute, concurrent requests, daily/monthly spend and a single-request cap. Limits protect the service and can be adjusted by risk tier or during an incident. Repeated attempts to evade them are prohibited.
You are responsible for your own retries and client-side concurrency. A retry can create a second inference request and a separate charge when the first request was already accepted.
7. Playground
The Playground uses the same prepaid wallet as the API and has separate message, concurrency and spend limits. It is intended for text and code testing, not for unattended production workloads.
You choose whether to save encrypted history. If you enable it, retention follows your selected setting and you can delete threads or all history. If you choose not to save, the conversation is not intended to persist after the response path completes.
8. Availability and changes
Service availability, latency, model capabilities, prices and limits are not guaranteed. We may pause or disable a model, key, account or payment method to investigate abuse, protect customers, address an incident, comply with law or respond to a provider change.
We may update these terms when the product or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms; material changes may also be announced in the product or by email.
9. Intellectual property and feedback
You retain rights you have in your prompts, code and other input. Subject to applicable third-party terms, you are responsible for deciding whether model output is suitable and for checking licenses, accuracy and originality before use.
Model.sale branding, software, documentation and interface remain the property of Model.sale or its licensors. You may use the public docs and SDK examples to integrate the service, but may not copy the service itself, reverse engineer protected components or suggest an endorsement that does not exist.
If you send feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the service without owing compensation, while we continue to protect account and request data under the Privacy Policy.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and request account closure through support. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, unlawful activity, payment abuse, excessive fraud risk or an operational/legal requirement.
Suspension does not erase legitimate payment, ledger, security or dispute records that must be retained. Any remaining balance is handled according to applicable law, payment-provider constraints and the circumstances of termination; do not treat an account as a bank or transferable wallet.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every model will be available, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Model output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsafe; you must review it before relying on it.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Model.sale is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, data or business interruption arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
12. Contact
For account, billing or abuse questions, contact support@model.sale. Report credential exposure or a security issue to security@model.sale. Legal notices can be sent to legal@model.sale. Do not include API keys, passwords, prompts or response bodies in a message.
